The Sewing Gold Family

We appreciate your interest in Sewing Gold! Family-owned and operated since 1935, customer service has always been our number one priority.

My name is Steve Levin, and I am the owner of our family’s sewing machine business, now proudly in its fourth generation. My grandfather, Solomon Goldblatt, founded the business in 1935. It was later passed down to my father, Norman Levin, around the time I was born in 1967.

Today, I run the shop alongside my son, Kyle, and our Master Mechanic, Jose, who has been with us for over 37 years.

Our shop is located in the heart of Chicago’s Wicker Park/Bucktown neighborhood, approximately 10 minutes northwest of downtown Chicago. We’re proud to still operate in the very same building where our business was founded in 1935.

We specialize in the sales and service of both industrial and household sewing machines. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call or email us during business hours. We’re always happy to help!
